SalaamGarageLocal is an all-volunteer media team that parters with non-profits to raise awareness and cause social change on the hyper local level by creating storytelling about the issues in our own backyards. Our growing national media teams of professional photographers, writers, journalists, and videographers have ditched the ‘lone-ranger’ mentality, embraced the beauty and power of collaboration and organize people in their local community to leverage online and offline spaces and make a local impact.

Our current goal is to raise awareness and answer the question:

‘What happens to youth when they age out of the foster care system in America?’
